With the intent of encouraging more girls from seven districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh to go to school, the motto behind this collaboration was to support, encourage and empower girls and aid them to drive a social change.

Selected Girl Icon Fellows were equipped to create change in their peer groups by taking up small projects that could benefit both their peers and communities. Under this, girls were educated, empowered, and enabled. Such young girl icons were able to develop their leadership skills and build connections with influential peers and professional mentors wherein they collectively designed, developed and implemented social change projects in their communities.
