Timely health checkups during pregnancy are vital to the mother and the baby's health. However, in rural areas, most women are still unaware of its importance, and thus neglect this aspect, while some others are deprived of it.

Through this collaboration, we provided systematic monitoring of pregnant women from 84 villages of Sevapuri block, Varanasi by identifying, educating and providing services at their doorstep. Services such as BP, HB and weight check-ups were made available to expectant mothers. Health camps also were conducted, that enabled them to have proper medical examinations by qualified gynaecologists, with an emphasis on high-risk pregnancy cases.
